Noah Shines on the World Stage

At St Francis, we are always proud to celebrate the individual achievements of our pupils — whether in the classroom, on the stage, or, as in this case, on the international sporting stage. One of our Senior pupils, Noah, recently travelled to Glasgow to represent his club at the Taekwondo International World Championships.

Competing against participants from all over the world, Noah displayed real determination and focus. After a year of consistent training and effort, he delivered a strong performance at just the right time. He returned to school with a silver medal in individual sparring, narrowly missing out on gold by a single point, and also secured a bronze medal as part of the team sparring event.

Head of St Francis, David Lee, commented:
"We are incredibly proud of Noah’s achievement. To compete at international level, particularly in a sport that requires such discipline and mental focus, is no small feat. He has shown commitment throughout the year, and this result is a reflection of that hard work. It’s a wonderful example of how our pupils are encouraged to pursue their passions both in and outside of school."

The weekend was not only a competitive success, but also a valuable experience for Noah as he tested himself amongst some of the best young martial artists in the world. It's a fitting end to what has been a successful year for him in Taekwondo.

As a prep school in Pewsey, with many pupils also joining us from the wider Marlborough area, St Francis remains committed to supporting a broad and balanced education. We are always pleased to see our pupils thriving in diverse fields and representing the values of our school wherever they go.

Whether on the mat, in the classroom or beyond, we continue to be inspired by the drive and dedication shown by our pupils like Noah.
