Year 6 pupil Ellie had a fantastic day in London on Sunday, where she had the opportunity to compete against other 11 year olds for a place in the Final, with the chance to swim against two times Olympian Champion Abbie Wood.

Ellie successfully secured her place in the Final by swimming her 50m Freestyle in an impressive 32.94.

She then went on to race against Abbie Wood in the Final, alongside 8 other 11 year olds, giving her the opportunity to compete against an Olympian and experience what it is like to race at such a special event.

As well as the excitement of competing, Ellie also got to meet a number of stars from the world of swimming, including Matt Richards, Filip Nowacki, Lauren Cox, Oliver Morgan, Noe Ponti and Angelina Kohler.

It was a brilliant day in London and a fantastic experience for Ellie, combining the excitement of competing with the opportunity to meet some of the swimmers she would normally only see in the pool or on the big screen.

For an 11 year old swimmer, getting the chance to race against a two times Olympian Champion and meet so many of the stars of swimming made it a truly memorable weekend.
