Bedtime Stories

Normally, a Friday afternoon in a day school would be marked with pupils exiting the building(s) in their droves, but not so for St Francis School.

Last Friday, if you happened to drive past the Pre-Prep department, you would have seen all the lights still on, and not from teachers burning the midnight oil. Instead, Haybrook House (St Francis’s Pre-Prep department) invited all their pupils back in for a special “bedtime stories” evening.

Whilst Tom Hardy sadly had other commitments, Head of Pre-Prep, Mandy Pilgrim, did a sterling job of leading the evening – making the Haybrook Hall especially cosy by playing the YouTube fire over the projector.

Head at St Francis, David Lee explained “All of the Haybrook team did a fantastic job at creating such a cosy and homely environment; in any other School it might be difficult to entice pupils back to spend their Friday evening with their teachers and peers. It is testament to the St Francis community spirit that we had such a fantastic turnout for this; thank you again to all the staff who made this event such a success.”

The Nursery at St Francis will be holding an Open Day on Thursday 23rd February; please book on by emailing nurseryad@stfpewsey.co.uk .
